Shop Around and Save Money
askpaul explains about shopping around to save money:
Shopping around is extremely important when it comes to you improving your finances. What do I mean by shopping around?
Switch Bank Accounts & Save
Then we also want you to switch your bank accounts. Please don’t be one of those people that spend the money for a bank to send you out statements. There’s free banking available! Go to a really good government website called Switch Your Bank and see where the cheapest current accounts are, and where the cheapest credit cards are, and make sure to switch to get the lowest interest rates on a credit card, as well as free banking, this is really important.
Switch Car Insurance & Save
The other thing I want you to do is, if you have a car, run outside and look at your insurance disk to check when the renewal date for your car insurance is. Put it into your phone today and save it like a birthday and, every year, make sure you ring around and you get cheaper car insurance. There are loads of sites out there, you really need to invest yourself and an hour of your time to make sure you get the cheapest car insurance quotes. It’s really important to do the same with your household policy. Try and find your household documentation.
Switch House Insurance & Save
If you’re one of these people that took out house insurance with the bank when you took out your mortgage, man, have you made a mistake! You need to get to a house insurance broker and get cheaper house insurance. Find out when your house insurance renewal date is and make sure when your renewal date comes around, that you are ready to negotiate for a cheaper quote which will save you more money.
When shopping around, make sure you get cheaper car, house, and utilities straightaway. Big one! If you are in a mortgage contract and, you don’t have a fixed contract, make sure you contact askpaul and ask us what type of rates are currently available on the marketplace. You could save thousands of euros over the term of your mortgage by switching your mortgage, and it’s not that difficult to do.
