Money Saving Tip

Check out askpaul’s easy money saving tip:

Hi everybody. Quick savings tip here. If you are someone who hasn’t got a savings plan in place or you find that you get to the end of the month and you have no money to save. Very simply, you need to set a standing order up the day you get paid. When you get your wages, it’s not a target to spend that money come the end of the period. So, if you get paid weekly, you don’t have to spend all your money by the end of the week and same with the monthly.

What you do is when you get paid on payday, have a standing order or send a direct debit or go into a savings account the day you get paid. And that’s your savings sorted. If you want a discretionary savings account and a long-term savings account, just set up two accounts. It’s very simple and easy.

This is all about habit. But if you make it a standing order or direct debit, it takes the control away from you, it’s automatically in place and you don’t have to worry about trying to save during the period of your wages. Hope these tips helps. Let me know how you’re getting on with them.
